We are asking anyone who would like to come and live in at our home in Claverdon from Sunday morning 17th June (or Saturday 16th) until the evening of Tuesday 19th June.
Unfortunately the person who normally house sits for us has had to go back to New Zealand.
It would be to look after our elderly and very sociable cat, letting out and shutting up at night geese and chickens (plenty of free range eggs!!). We also have a very enthusiastic German Shepherd pup of 12mnths (Lobo) who is friendly, and gentle and sometimes obediant, however, alternative arrangements could be made for Lobo if needed.
We are situated between Stratford and Warwick and just 3miles from Hatton Country World.
An opportunity to have a peaceful quiet time away set in tranquil countryside away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

This is a flat screen TV which was formerly used as a notice board at the Bridge.

It is about 5 years old and predates HD and digital TVs.
It has a separate power supply.
It does not have a digital TV Tuner, so would need a separate box or be used for games etc.

There is an opportunity to join a new weekly daytime Bible study group that started on Wednesday 2nd May at 13.30 to 15.00 meeting in the Prayer Room.

John Bragg will lead it beginning with Luke’s Gospel.

The style of the study will be interactive and the emphasis will be designed to further our understanding of Jesus and what He means to our daily lives and attitudes to both God and human beings.
There will be opportunities to share your own understandings and to hear other viewpoints as well as to grow in depth of understanding of Jesus’ teaching, actions and personality.
You can just pitch up but it would be helpful to John if he knew who was likely to attend.

Most of us at various times recognise that we face obstacles (enemies) in our spiritual growth and to receiving the promises we see in the gospel of Christ. SCF has been using the “Freedom in Christ Discipleship Course” to help us to grow towards maturity in Christ.

The course involves 14 sessions using video presentations with small group discussion.

We had an incredible and significant time last weekend as we met and heard from old friends.  There was a real sense that God was moving amongst us on both Saturday night and Sunday morning.
We heard Elders from present and past talk about the church over the four decades.
It was a real blessing to hear how the church was started and having gone through what Stephen and Bryan said it was interesting to see how well it fitted to our current vision themes.On Saturday night Stephen and Bryan particularly bought out the SCF’s roots in Family and becoming the Family of God.  This stirred me as God had been speaking to me for a number of weeks about the need to create a focus on being God’s Family.  Not a church for families only, but a family church.
This caused me to share a little of what was on my heart on Sunday morning.
I am sure as I was that you were excited to hear Stephen share his picture and bring his prophetic word that God was calling us to a focus and that focus was family.
I know from speaking too many of you that the Family focus echoed in your hearts as well.

Our response to this is to now unpack and understand what it means to be God’s family in line with the Vision theme’s from the Elders.
What does it mean for our children and youth, adults; single, married and widowed and what does it mean for our more senior members.  It is only when all these ages come together that we truly are Family.  So I would ask you to join with us as Leaders and Elders and pray as we seek God.
Come and share with us what he tells you as we will also share with you over the coming weeks and months.
